Phyliss was a kind, funny and fiercely loyal woman who loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed life and was quick with a warm smile or tell stories from her past. She loved to travel as she visited many countries during her lifetime. She also enjoyed games of chance and in recent years she was found at local Falmouth restaurants playing Keno with her family. We will miss her dearly.
Born and raised in Somerville, the daughter of Everett and Dorothy Fitzgerald, she graduated from Somerville high school in 1947. She met her husband John while he was attending Boston College and they were married in 1952. They purchased their first home in Brockton and as the family grew larger they moved to Framingham where her six children attended the local catholic schools. After John’s career grew the family moved to West Hartford CT where all the children attended Northwest Catholic High School. Phyliss was active as a member of Wampanoag country club where she learned to play golf and made many lifelong friends. After the death of her husband she moved to Foxboro and eventually settled in Falmouth.
