Stevens, Frank "Les" Jr., 81, of Hyannis and Osterville, formerly of Lexington, passed away on February 28, 2016. Les was born and raised in Lexington, MA by his loving parents, Frank L. Stevens, Sr. and Catherine (O'Keefe) Stevens. Les graduated from Lexington High School, class of 1953, after graduation, he attended the prestigious Harvard University, majoring in English as well as participating in college football and hockey. While in his third year of education, Les was drafted into the Navy, serving aboard the U.S.S. Newport. After being released from duty, Les continued his passion for hockey by playing semi-pro for 15 years as well as trying out for the Olympic hockey team and briefly working with his father before beginning a real estate career. Along his path in life, Les fell in love and soon married the most beautiful Miss Massachusetts and Miss America pageant contestant, Brenda Crovo, with whom they have spent 53 wonderful years together. In 1970, Les and Brenda moved to the Cape, spending many years together in Osterville raising a busy family and owning and rehabilitating various hotels. Les continued his pursuit in hotel management by creating and implementing one of the first software programs for hotel management and administration. In his retirement years, he deeply enjoyed writing, crafting poetry, spending time with family and friends, and appreciating the simple act of taking a peaceful walk and reflecting in silent prayer. Along with his devoted wife, Brenda Stevens, Les is survived by his loving children: John (Lisa) Stevens of Lawrenceville, GA, Eric (Terasa) Stevens of Marstons Mills, MA, Laura Price-Stevens of Smithfield, ME, Andrea (Geoff) Stevens Mackenzie of Gilbert, AZ, and Paul (Jessica) Stevens of Norwell, MA. He also leaves behind his caring sister Paula Sukeforth of Nashua, NH. Les will be truly missed by his cherished grandchildren: Conor Stevens, Clare Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Madison Stevens, Katherine Marney, David Marney, Lauren Marney, Brigid Marney, Hannah Price, Noah Price, Lindsay LeBoeuf, Brandon LeBoeuf, Emma Mackenzie, Jake Mackenzie, Nathan Stevens, Ella Stevens, Molly Stevens and his great grandchildren: Kimberly and Avalynn and one on the way, Nora. He was predeceased by his brother James Stevens and sister, Helen Stevens Bernier. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 9 am in St. Helen Church, 383 Washington St. (Rt. 53) Norwell, MA 02061.
