Anna K. Creighton, 95, of Falmouth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 after a long, happy life. Anna was born to Alice and Harold Lyons on September 30, 1920 in Maynard. She moved to Falmouth in 1949 and was married to the late George H. Creighton for 47 years.
Anna worked for the Falmouth Nursing Association, and was a school secretary at Mullen-Hall School. She was a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor, and made friends wherever she went. Anna was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a great fan of the Red Sox and New England Patriots. In her younger years she loved to walk, line dance and was a great bridge player.
After moving from her beloved home on Salt Pond Road, Anna spent five wonderful years at Cape Cod Senior Residence in Pocasset, at the end of her life she was a resident of Royal Megansett Nursing Home in North Falmouth.
She leaves her children, Christine (Alan) Huber of Winchester and Falmouth, David (Elaine) Creighton of Falmouth, and Nancy (Jim) Lott of Saint Petersburg FL; and her four grandchildren: Kevin Creighton, Andrea and Greg Huber, and Sarah Lott. She also leaves two great-grandchildren, Ty and Connor Creighton, and the late Shaun Creighton.
A celebration of life will be held at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth on Saturday, March 19. Visiting hours to be held from 12 PM to 2 PM with a funeral service to follow at 2 PM in the funeral home. Burial is private.
