CULLY – Marion H. (Mosher), 93, of East Falmouth, formerly of Dorchester and Randolph, died March 13, 2016. Beloved wife of the late George A Cully. Marion grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. As a young woman, Marion was an accomplished tap dancer performing in numerous events throughout Boston. After World War II, Marion would explain, “I had a long line of suitors, but that tall gentleman in the Marine uniform from down the street, he was mine!” Marion and George were married in 1949 and were together for 62 years. Their time in Randolph was spent supporting the charities of Elks Lodge 2130. Marion and George eventually settled in East Falmouth. Marion was a former “first lady” of Fisherman’s Cove and lived there for 39 years. Marion loved being part of the Cove and it certainly filled her retirement years with friends and joy.
Marion is survived by George’s nieces, Louise Abraham of Ashland, MA; Maureen Brawley and her husband Robert of Rehoboth, MA; Alice Joyce of Millis, MA. Also survived by many grand nephews and a grand niece.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 18 from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Falmouth, followed by a funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at Saint Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth. Interment to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:30 PM.
