Attorney General Maura Healy's office reports that 61 year old Donna Zoppi of Eastham was indicted by a Barnstable County Grand Jury on charges she embezzled over $1.8 million from the Harbor Hill timeshare resort in Provincetown.  She was charged with Larceny Over $250.

Authorities allege that, between 2008 and 2015, Ms. Zoppi was the only employee with access to the Harbor Hill bank accounts.  During this time it is alleged that she wrote herself checks from the bank account, made ATM withdrawals, used the company debit card for personal expenses and transferred money from the Harbor Hill account to her personal account.  Ms. Zoppi was the office manager for Harbor Hill, in charge of collecting monies from timeshare owners.

During this same time period, it is alleged that Ms. Zoppi took lavish vacations and made extravagant purchases - including a horse for her stepdaughter.

Harbor HIll declared bankruptcy in 2016 likely as a result of Donna Zoppi's alleged embezzlement.  The Town of Provincetown is attempting to purchase the property to establish town-owned, market-rate housing.

Attorney General Maura Healy's office has been investigating this matter since receiving complaints from timeshare owners.
