Invites you to a

Public Information Meeting

For the

Bass River Bridge Replacement Project

Thursday, May 24th, 2018

Public Information Meeting
6:30-8:30 PM
Dennis Police Department
90 Bob Crowell Rd, South Dennis, MA

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the community to the Bass River Bridge Replacement Project, which will ultimately replace the existing bridge, located between the towns of Yarmouth and Dennis. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), which owns and maintains the bridge, has retained a project team led by HDR Engineering Inc. to develop a design for the replacement of the structure. The current project team is charged with developing a design which will eventually be advertised for construction by a qualified general contractor. It is anticipated that construction will begin in 2020 and is estimated to cost $17.25 million.

The location is accessible to people with disabilities. MassDOT provides reasonable accommodations and/or language assistance free of change upon request (including but not limited to interpreters in American Sign Language and languages other than English, open and closed captioning for videos, assistive listening devices and alternative material formats, such as audio tapes, Braille and large print), as available. For accommodation or language assistance, please contact MassDOT’s Chief Diversity and Civil Rights Officer by phone (857-368-8580), fax (857-368-0602), TTD/TTY (857-368-0603) or by email ([email protected]). Requests should be made as soon as possible prior to the meeting, and for more difficult to arrange services including sign-language, CART or language translation or interpretation, request should be made at least ten (10) days before the meeting.
