The Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts (PFFM) have endorsed State Representative Tim Whelan (R-Brewster) in his campaign for re-election. The PFFM (www.pffm.org) represents approximately 12,000 firefighters across Massachusetts, including all four IAFF locals within the 1st Barnstable District, Whelan’s district.

"I am proud of the strong relationship I have built with the PFFM, and have been honored to work closely with their leadership team in my role as Ranking Member on the Joint Committee on Public Service,” Rep. Whelan said.  "As a career first-responder, I worked for many years alongside our brave Firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics, and I deeply appreciate their confidence and their support for my re-election.”

Whelan also is a member of the Joint Committee on Higher Education and the House Committee on Ways & Means.  He works closely with the Baker-Polito administration on key Cape issues and issues throughout the state, and is recognized as a leader in combating the proliferation of the dangerous synthetic opioids, Fentanyl and Carfentanil.
