Yarmouth Police to Host National Night Out Event

August 7th at Simpkins Field...

From the Yarmouth Police Department:

Yarmouth PD is pleased to announce annual National Night Out event at the Simpkins Field in south Yarmouth on Tuesday, August 7th. The event will run from 5 pm to 7pm.

Yarmouth PD has joined forces with the Yarmouth Fire Department and the Yarmouth Department of Natural Resources to offer the citizens and guests of Yarmouth an opportunity to strengthen community relationships. Our goal of citizen safety will be achieved in part by offering interactive learning opportunities for event participants.

The event will include demonstrations by the Yarmouth Police SWAT Team and K-9 Unit. There will be static displays by the Police Department, Fire Department and Department of Natural Resources. Other fun activities will include a kids SWAT obstacle course and a demonstration of the PD Search and Rescue Drone.
Over 16,000 communities throughout the world will participate in this ongoing effort to prevent crime.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. Together, we are making that happen.

We hope to see you there!
