CONNECTICUT MAN ARRESTED FOR THIRD OFFENSE OUI AT 3PM IN THE AFTERNOON HELD ON $2,540 CASH BAIL
On Sunday, August 19, 2018 at approximately 3:13PM, Yarmouth Police Department Patrol Officer Mark Noone observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Higgins-Crowell Road in West Yarmouth.
Cruiser mounted radar found the vehicle to be travelling 64 MPH in a posted 40 MPH Zone.
Patrol Officer Noone attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop but the vehicle did not come to a stop until 1 mile later on Townbrook Road.
Officer Noone and fellow dayshift shift Patrol Officers found the operator to be intoxicated and placed him under arrest for OUI.
A record check found two prior OUI convictions in Connecticut.
Drivers silver Nissan Versa was towed and impounded.
Driver was booked at YPD Headquarters and held overnight on $2,540 bail set by the Bail Commissioner.
Subject due to be in the Barnstable District Court on Monday, August 20, 2018 for arraignment.
