ARREST MADE IN 2017 LARCENY INVESTIGATION

On June 16, 2017 an Oak Bluffs resident/contractor reported the theft of a Bobcat MT52 mini skid steer loader from the area across from 7 County Road.

On August 21, 2018, over a year later, Oak Bluffs Police developed information indicating that Edmund J. Willoughby II, 36, of County Road, Oak Bluffs, had stolen the Bobcat and had it stored on his property.

On August 22, 2018, Oak Bluffs Police applied for and were granted a search warrant from the Edgartown District Court authorizing the search of Willoughby’s property for the stolen Bobcat. The warrant was served the same day and the stolen Bobcat was located on the property concealed under a tarp.

On August 23, 2018, Willoughby was located and arrested on the charges of receiving stolen property over $1200 and vandalism. He was arraigned today in the Edgartown District Court.
