Wareham Police had a busy few days with arrests of five people in different incidents.

09:00 - Police report that Officers Eric Machado and Steven Joy arrested Ronald Cappola Jr., age 24, of Wareham at approximately 9 a.m. at the Gatehouse Apartments. Mr. Cappola was arrested after officers became aware of an active warrant and learned he was at the apartment complex.
11:30 - Teena Hill, age 46, of Wareham was arrested by Officer Machado on the railroad tracks behind the Water Wizz attraction. Machado reportedly was aware of an active warrant for Ms. Hill and spotted her while on patrol. This is the third time since June that Ms. Hill has been arrested on warrants by Wareham Police.
15:00 - Officer George Dionne arrested Matthew O’Donnell, age 32, of Bourne, at Walmart on an active warrant.
17:00 - A woman who owed a taxi driver $130 reportedly gave police officers a fake name after fleeing into the woods prior to being arrested. The subject, Sandra Aycock, age 33, of Plymouth. Aycock was charged with evading taxi fare after officers responded to the Rockland Trust on Cranberry Highway at approximately for a call regarding an argument between a man and a woman. Officers said they found Aycock hiding in the woods from a cab driver. She initially identified herself as Sandra Amaker. Officers reportedly determined that she was lying and her name was actually Sandra Aycock. In addition to owing the taxi driver $130 for fare, police said Aycock had two outstanding warrants. Officers Nate Aronson and Eric Machado arrested Ms. Aycock and she was held at the Wareham police station pending an appearance in Wareham District Court.

23:45 - Officer Aronson arrested Michael J. Gratis, age 35, of Cotuit for an active warrant. Aronson spotted Mr. Gratis on Cranberry Highway near Red Brook Road. Gratis was held without bail pending an appearance in Wareham District Court.

7:45 p.m. - Officer Charles Pillsbury responded to Ocean State Job Lot for a past shoplifting case. The alleged shoplifter reported left before police arrived. Officer Pillsbury investigated the incident and, as a result of the follow-up, summoned Jimmy Archer, age 26, of Stoughton to court for shoplifting, fourth offense. Wareham Police report the total value of items stolen was $709.73.

04:30 - Acting Sergeant Kevin Reilly and Officers Calib Larue and Stephen Harrison arrested Mark Gomes, age 53, of Wareham at his home on Fifth Street in Onset. Gomes reportedly had had two active warrants for his arrest and was held pending an appearance in Wareham District Court.
