Barnstable harbor master to hold public auction Nov. 12

Sealed bids will be taken on surplus and abandoned vessels

The Barnstable harbor master will hold a public auction on Wednesday, November 12 p.m. at the Barnstable Transfer Station, 45 Flint Street in Marstons Mills.

Sealed bids will be accepted for surplus and abandoned vessels. 

Viewing and bidding will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., according to a release from the harbor master's office. All bids will be awarded at 11:30 a.m.

Cash or checks payable to "The Town of Barnstable" will be accepted.

Winning bidders will have until 3 p.m. the same day to pay for their item and have it removed. Anyone failing to do so will forfeit their award.

Early viewing will not be permitted. The harbor master will not answer any questions about the items in the auction until 9 a.m. on the day of the auction.
