Scudder Ave. paving starts Thursday in Hyannis

Road down to one lane during work time

The Barnstable Department of Public Works announced the start of a Hyannisport paving project to begin this week. On Thursday, November 13,  a portion of Scudder Ave. and all of Marston Ave. will be paved.

The work will be done from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. If the weather cooperates, the project should be complete on Friday.

Only one lane will be open to traffic during work hours. Scudder Ave. will be affected between West Main Street and Craigville Beach Road. All of Marston Ave. will be affected.

September into October, new granite curbing and sidewalk repairs were done in the same area.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during the paving project. Delays should be expected during work hours.
