The town of Dennis this week announced that 2015 shellfishing licenses will go on sale Monday, December 1. Licenses are available through the Natural Resource Office, 685 Route 134 in South Dennis. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you had a license in 2014, bring it to the office and it will be updated with a 2015 sticker. If this is the first year you are applying for a license and you are a resident, bring a proof of residency such as a current tax bill, utility bill or your driver's license.

Shellfish license fees for 2015 are $20 for residents, $3 for residents over 70 and $65 for non-residents. There was no increase in fees from 2014.

Shellfish maps and other information are available here. If you have a 2014 license, quahogs open on December 1 off Cove Road in South Dennis and oysters open on December 7.

More information is available by contacting the town's Natural Resources Department here.
