Route 6A gas line work starts up again in Brewster Jan. 5

Motorists should expect delays during work hours

Work on the Route 6A gas line project in East Brewster will start up again on Monday, January 5. The work is being done by Neuco.

Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work will not be done on holidays, the day before or after a holiday or holiday weekends. Between those hours one lane will be closed and motorists should expect delays. Officers will be on site to direct motorists, according to Brewster police.

Work will be done weather-permitting. The project will be complete once the Orleans town line is reached.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
