Brewster Swap Shop closes this week

Transfer station trading post shut down temporarily

If you live in Brewster and you've got some stuff in good condition that you would like to get rid of, you are going to have to hold on to it a bit longer.

The town announced this week that the swap shop at the Brewster Recycling Center (the former transfer station renamed in June) is temporarily closed.

The closure went into effect on Thursday, January 15. During the closure, the wood stove will be replaced. The wood stove is the building's only source of heat.

The swap shop is expected to open up again in February.

The Brewster Recycling Center is at 201 Run Hill Road.
