The Town of Brewster has announced two important public forums for February. First up, the town will hold a fire station public forum on Saturday, February 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Town Hall. The forum is an update on the town's Fire Rescue Station project. A meeting originally planned for Saturday, January 31 was postponed due to snow.
Future fire station public forums are set for Saturday, February 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., both at Town Hall.
On Tuesday, February 24 at 7 p.m. at the Brewster Ladies' Library, the town will focus on another important issue: finding a new town administrator. In the fall, longtime Town Administrator Charles Sumner announced that he would be retiring in October 2015. Last month, Brewster selectmen put out a call for residents interested in joining a search and selection committee.
Residents are asked to attend the public forum on the 24th and share their thoughts on the challenges Brewster faces and the kind of leadership required to make the town a success.
