Sealed bids accepted for installation of vehicle exhaust removal system at fire station

The Orleans Town Administrator will be accepting sealed bids to supply and install a direct source capture vehicle exhaust removal system for lower apparatus bay only. Bids must be received on or before 3:00 p.m. on June 26, 2009, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after this time and date will be returned to the bidder unopened.

Faxed bids will not be accepted.

The bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked EXHAUST REMOVAL SYSTEM. The bid document and specifications may be obtained at the Town Administrator's Office, 19 School Road, Orleans, MA 02653 Mon – Fri from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Each bid shall include a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Bidder’s lump sum price, payable to the Town of Orleans.  The bid bond shall be in the form of a certified or bank check, money order or a bond issued by a company licensed to do business in Massachusetts and acceptable to the Town.

A successful bidder will be required to provide a Payment Bond for 50% of the contract price, issued by a surety qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Award will be made on or before July 24, 2009.

The Town Administrator reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding and make the award as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.

Orleans accepting sealed bids for used van

The item, a 1998 Dodge Ram, will be sold AS IS and may be seen between the hours 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Orleans Senior Center, 150 Rock Harbor Road, Orleans, MA.

Specifications may be obtained at the Town Administrator’s Office, 19 School Rd, Orleans, MA 02653-3699, Mon. – Fri. 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Bids must be submitted on or before 3:30 p.m., June 26, 2009 in a sealed envelope clearly marked 1998 Dodge Ramvan B3500. Bids received after this time and date will be returned unopened to the bidder. No exceptions will be allowed.

FAX proposals will not be accepted.

The contract awards will be made within thirty days of the bid opening. The Town Administrator reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals and to waive any informality in bidding and make the award as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.

Sealed bids accepted for installation of submersible well pump & motor for the town water department

The Orleans Town Administrator will receive sealed bids for providing and installing a SUBMERSIBLE WELL PUMP AND MOTOR for the Town of Orleans Water Department. Bids will be received on or before 3:00 PM on July 1, 2009 at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read. Any bid received after this date and time will be returned unopened to the bidder. No exceptions will be made. 

Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the Town Administrator's Office, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., located at 19 School Road, Orleans, MA 02653.

Every general bidder shall submit a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of his respective bid, with his bid. Bid bonds must be issued by a company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth.

Wages are subject to minimum wage rates as per Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, inclusive. The contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sec or national origin. Attention is also called to requirements relating to workmen’s compensation and conditions of employment.

The successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the owner, for the faithful performance of the contract price.

Each bid should be submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked Supply and Installation of Submersible Pump and Motor for Well #8.

FAX bids will not be accepted.

The Town Administrator reserves the right to accept and/or reject any and all bids and waive any informalities in bidding procedures to the extent allowed by law and make the award as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. Bid award will be made on or before July 31, 2009.
