Brian J. Welch, 56, of Falmouth peacefully passed away on September 19, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Richard L. Welch and Angeline M. Mullen and Harvey “Moon” Mullen. Brian is survived by his companion, Jennifer B. Munro and their beloved son, Aidan M. Welch of Falmouth, his stepson, Evan Hall, his wife Blair and their son, Wiley Hall of Warwick RI; his three siblings, Michael Welch of West Barnstable, Lori Welch of Falmouth, and Maria Welch Flagg of Falmouth. He also leaves behind 5 nieces and a nephew: Michael Welch Jr., Meredith Newton, Shanna Rowitz, Christina Gruschke, Crystal Knowlton, and Jessica Flagg; as well as 6 great nieces and nephews.
Brian was an avid hunter and had a passion for snowmobiling, fishing and playing chess with Aidan. He also loved to travel and vacation in Aruba with his family. Brian’s legacy is one of compassion; he was a thoughtful and caring man who had a heart of gold.
Brian proudly served in the US Marine Corps. The discipline and patriotism he displayed while in the Marines never left him. He went on to build a successful business, Aqua Irrigation in Falmouth for over 30 years.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sep 23 at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main St, FALMOUTH CENTER. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sep 24 at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy, East Falmouth. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
