Deborah C. (Fitzpatrick) Mitchell, 60, died peacefully on Jan. 29, while surrounded by her family after a lengthy disease. Deborah was one of twelve rambunctious and loving siblings who grew up in Roxbury.
Deborah was working at Cole & Hersey before meeting the “love of her life”, Wayne, in the early 1970’s; the two would marry on Sept. 11, 1976. They settled in Bridgewater where she would become a Super-Mom to her six children, she was always supportive and encouraging to her family. She loved camping, being with her family, crocheting, and she enjoyed reading. Always an animal lover, Deborah always surrounded herself with pets; dogs, cats, birds, and other mischievous critters.
Deborah was the loving daughter of the late William and Norma (MacIver) Fitzpatrick. Devoted wife of Wayne T. Mitchell of Bridgewater and devoted mother of Laura M. Weigold of E. Taunton, Robert J. Mitchell of Bridgewater, Cheri A. Pelton of Acushnet, Wayne T. Mitchell Jr. of Bridgewater, Amanda J. Mitchell of Bridgewater, and Kimberly A. Mitchell of Bridgewater. Proud “Nana” of Briana, Brandon, Jared, Luxon, Tyler, Aubrey, Alexa, Rhylie. She is also survived by her loving siblings and many dear friends.
