Edward J. Humora of Falmouth, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016. He was 95. He was the husband of Muriel (Jones) Humora of 73 years.
Ed Humora joined the US Naval Construction Forces, known as Seabees, during World War II. He was stationed in the South Pacific on the Marshall Islands.
Upon returning home, he worked as a construction engineer for many years, mostly in Massachusetts, but also in Pennsylvania and Kentucky. Ed had two passionate hobbies, collecting clocks and stamps.
Ed and his wife Muriel eventually settled in West Roxbury, where they raised four daughters.
In addition to his wife, Muriel, Edward is survived by his 4 daughters: Anne M. Emerson and husband Daniel H. of Windham NH, Jeanne M. Hufnagle of East Falmouth, Judy L. Shilowski of Walpole, and Arlene F. Kirby and husband Michael of Pembroke; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday Jan 29th at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy. (Route 28), East Falmouth. Burial will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
