PROVINCETOWN – Gertrude A. (Robstock) Parky passed away peacefully on September 20, 2015, at Seashore Point Wellness Center.Gertrude was born in Stratford, CT on February 27, 2924 to the late Julia (Ellis) Robstock and Joseph E. Robstock, Sr. Gertrude was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph E. Robstock, Jr, Jack Robstock and sisters Lucille Brennan and Julia Clarke. She is survived by her brother, Lawrence Robstock of CT.Gertrude was also predeceased by her husband John A. Parky. She is survived by her children, John S. Parky of Tucson, AZ, Janice Parky and her husband Bruce Cagwin of North Truro, MA and Gary T. Parky and wife Debra of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Jessica Oami and husband Paul Frisina, Montgomery Cagwin and wife Emily, and Jenkin Cagwin and wife Aline, as well as 4 great grandchildren, Jules, Marcello, Angelo and Remy and several special nieces and nephews.Gertrude was a retiree of Douglas College of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, where she was employed as secretary to the Dean. She was a former resident of East Brunswick, NJ, and Guilford and Branford, CT before moving to Seashore Point to spend her last years near her family. She was the past President of East Shore Chapter 498 of AARP (1988-1990), a volunteer with Canoe Brook Senior Center, Retired Seniors Volunteers Program, St. Mary Church Caregivers, Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers of Hamden, CT, secretary to Branford Senior's Club and secretary to Commons Condominium Association.Her family would like to thank the staff and aides at Seashore Point for the compassionate care she received while there, and for the sense of humor they maintained when caring for their "Grandma".There will be a private burial at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford, CT.
