Hugh Walter Sheridan, 53, was called home on September 19, 2015 after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Holly Ann (Hagar) Sheridan.
Born in Framingham, he was raised in Dedham and graduated from Catholic Memorial High in 1979. He earned a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales and a degree in management for Cape Cod Community College. Hugh owned and operated Sheridan’s Restaurant in Harwich for 10 years. He had owned Sheridan Tile and in 2005 he became Administrator of the Yarmouth Moose Lodge. He dedicated his life to the Moose, helping many people along the way.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his mother Barbara (Boudreau) Sheridan of South Yarmouth, two children Scott Sheridan of South Yarmouth and Jaclyn Holahan of South Yarmouth. He also leaves three sisters Kathleen Froio, Lorraine Silva, Liz McGonagle, a brother Michael Sheridan and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Hugh W. Sheridan
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday September 23, from 4 – 8 pm at the Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Dr., South Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday September 24 at 11 am at Saint Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Yarmouth Port.
