BREWSTER - J. Pierre Laberge, 84 of Brewster, MA died on April 1, 2016 after a long illness. Born in Montreal, Quebec in 1931 the oldest child of Florian and Sarah (Wickham) Laberge. He was the older brother to Paul of Montreal and Ann Donnelly of London, Ontario. He graduated from Loyola College in 1955. Throughout college he was active in hockey, baseball, rowing and boxing. Hockey was his passion, playing the game well into his fifties. While in college Pierre was a member of the COTC and, upon graduation became an officer in the Royal Canadian Army. After moving to Massachusetts he spent much of his career in the printing industry. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the loving husband of Pauline (Fiore) Laberge for 57 years. He also leaves behind three sons, James and his wife Perri Melugin, Anthony, and Mark and one daughter, Paula. He was the loving grandfather to Rachel and Kyle Laberge and many nieces and nephews. He loved his family and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 5th from 4-7 p.m at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am on Wednesday, April 6th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Orleans. Burial will follow in the Orleans Cemetery.
