In Memory of Jean RemickAugust 30, 1948 – February 26, 2016Dennisport -- Jean Remick 67 of Dennisport died February 26, 2016 after her long battle with kidney disease. Born in Boston August 30, 1948. Jean graduated from Quincy High School Class of 1966. She continued on to CCCC to obtain her Associates Degree. She was the daughter of Esther and Allen Remick of Quincy, MA. Jean was a free-spirited person and is survived by her only child Pamela Jean Kendall & mother-in-law to the late Thomas Kendall of Harwich. She was the oldest of five children and is survived by her loving siblings Susan Coleman of Abington, Carol Remick-Salverio of Hanover, Paul Remick of Salem, Oregon and Lynn Remick of Abington. She is also survived by grandsons whom she very much loved and adored, Joseph Scott O'Brien of Middleboro, James Nelson III and Thomas Kendall Jr. (T.J.) of Harwich and a niece and 2 nephews. She was an avid activist in the political issues of her day. Jean was also a talented organist since childhood enjoyed playing for everyone and was a member of the Yarmouthport Congregational choir. She enjoyed Jeopardy, playing cribbage, back gammon and many card games. Jean was a spirited person who enjoyed her music of Rock'n Roll/ heavy metal right up until her last day. She also loved birds, plants and to garden. Jean was always a fun loving quick-witted woman with a great sense of humor.Family was so very important to Jean and they will miss her dearly. Jean was a good friend to many and very grateful to all those who helped her with her illness, from her bus drivers, homemakers, nurses, dialysis techs, and doctors all of whom helped her through some difficult times.
