Jonathan E. Wordell Sr., 50" Little Jon "Jonathan E. Wordell Sr. of Chatham passed away Saturday after a long illness.Jonathan was born in Atlanta, Georgia and lived in Connecticut before his family settled in Chatham in 1971. He was a 1984 graduate of Chatham High School. He was known as the owner of Little Jon's Auto Polishing for 20 years and his Ford Bronco, which he dubbed, "Little Feet". After closing his business, he worked as a landscaper for Luciano and Son Landscaping.He enjoyed being outdoors. Whether working on his lawn, his house, washing his truck, or even just sunbathing. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was an avid darts player and liked ping pong and pool as well. His most favorite activity was taking his boys out to Nauset Beach every weekend. Wiffle ball, frisbee, boogie boarding, and watching our dog, Cisco, bite the waves. He enjoyed cooking on the grill and late night fires in the fire pit with the neighbors. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Wordell of Musselborough, Scotland, his father, Jon Wordell of Chatham, his wife, Mae Wordell of Harwich, his two sons, Thomas Wordell and Jonathan (Jay) Wordell Jr. both of Harwich, Sisters Leslie McGuire of Falmouth, Laurie Wadsworth of Connecticut, Kimberly Wordell Robbins of Chatham, Brothers Mark Wordell of North Carolina, Derek Wordell of Maine, an Aunt and Uncle Nathaniel and Joy Wordell of Chatham, a cousin, Josh Wordell of Chatham, Nephews Christopher Young of Falmouth, Ryder Robbins and Chace Robbins of Chatham, Matthew Bates of North Carolina, Lucas Gallardo of North Carolina, Nieces Sarah Young of Plymouth, Bethany Young of New York, and, Olivia Wadsworth and Natalie Wadsworth of Connecticut.A celebration of his life will be held on September 6, 2015 at the Chatham VFW between 1:00pm through 5:00pm. All are welcome to join in this celebration, however, burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Bing Center at The Dana Farber Cancer Institute."TAG.......YOU'RE IT!!"For online condolences, please visit
