Lindsey Marie Peterson, 24, of Falmouth passed away at Tobey Hospital in Wareham on Sunday, September 20, 2015 after a long struggle with addiction.
She was born in Falmouth and graduated from Falmouth High School. She was a certified nursing assistant and worked as a recovery counselor for Gosnold Treatment Center. She was a member of Recovery Without Walls. Lindsey was a mentor and inspiration to countless people within the recovery community.
Lindsey was a free spirit and so full of life. She loved music, spending time at Old Silver Beach, white water rafting trips with friends, but mostly spending time with her beautiful daughter, Estelle. Even through her passing she is still helping others with the lifesaving gift of organ donation.
Lindsey leaves behind her daughter, Estelle Duffany; mother, Melissa Hackett; father, Gary Peterson and her brother, Brandon Peterson; all of Falmouth. She is also survived by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26 at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy, East Falmouth. Burial will be private.
