Martin C. Flynn Jr., 95, of Marstons Mills, died peacefully on October 4, 2015 at home. Martin was the beloved husband of Ruth (Devine) Flynn.
Martin was born in Concord, MA to the late Martin C. Sr. and Annie (Fitzsimmons) Flynn.
Martin was a World War II veteran and also a Bronze Star recipient. He worked as a machinist for Westinghouse in Dedham, MA, for 40 years before moving to Cape Cod, where he served as Harbormaster for the Town of Barnstable for 20 years.
Martin is survived by his children, Kevin and his wife Linda Flynn of Milton; Nancy Flynn-Avery and her husband Hal of Needham; Janice Flynn of Boston; the late Mark and James Flynn; Patrice and Dominique DePaolo of Ashland; Virginia and David Madden of Milford; Colleen and Steven DeGiso of New Hampshire; Martin Sives of Yarmouthport; Dorothy and Daniel Morgan of East Bridgewater; Kevin Sives of Greenfield, PA; Michael and Courtney Sives of Centerville; and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 7, 2015, from 8:00 to 10:15 a.m. in the John Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Marstons Mills. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
