He trained and mentored many future market researchers during their employment experience at Dorr Research Corporation, including his own wife Sally. A highly respected member of Boston's business community, Dick played a central role in the city's advertising, communications, and marketing communities.Dick was active until the end, attending concerts on a regular basis, and planning several international adventures with Sally over the upcoming year. While Boston was his favorite city, he also adored San Francisco, Paris, and New York. He was a much-loved resident of the Cape Cod town, Wellfleet, introduced to him long ago by Sally. Dick served as an advisory committee member of Wellfleet's Preservation Hall, was a president of the Chequessett Yacht and Country Club, and worked as an Information Specialist at the Wellfleet Chamber of Commerce.Dick was always grateful for living what he regarded as the best possible life. He loved his upbringing and schooling, his children and grandchildren, his music, work, sports, travel, surroundings, mentors, inspirations, friends, and-above all else-his life with Sally and their cats.
