CapeCodToday Blogs Terms of Use & Privacy Policy
eCape, Inc. and CapeCodToday.com (TM) neither endorses the contents of any blogger communications nor assumes responsibility for any threatening, libelous, obscene, harassing or offensive material contained therein, nor any infringement of third party intellectual property rights arising there from or any crime facilitated thereby.
CapeCodToday Comment Policy
We never censor comments based on political or ideological of view. We only delete those comments that are abusive, off-topic, use excessive foul language, or include personal attacks, i.e., making negative personal comments about a blogger or fellow commenter, instead of just criticizing his/her posting, opinion, or comments.
When creating a username for commenting purposes, you must register with a valid email address. Usernames registered with false email addresses will be deleted. Also, only one commenter/username is allowed per IP address. Multiple users with the same IP address will be removed from our system.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is CapeCodToday now requiring me to register an account in order to comment?
A: As our blogs have become more heavily trafficked, the inevitable result has been that the site editors now need to implement some sort of control over who can comment in order to make the blogs a better experience for all readers. Thanks for complying with this, it's small step to register an account and the end result will be a better site for everyone.
Q: Why am I blocked from commenting on CapeCodToday?
A: If a commenter makes abusive or off-topic comments, uses excessive foul language, or includes a personal attack, comments more than once on the same post before another commenter responds, a CapeCodToday moderator may decide to ban the commenter's IP address. This means the abusive commenter is banned from commenting on the site in the future, even if the later comments are not abusive. We ban IPs because the sheer volume of comments makes it too time consuming to individually delete comments written by someone with a pattern of abuse.
Q: Can I include HTML in my comments?
A: We remove all HTML from comments to preserve formatting consistency.
