Falmouth Police Blotter: 7/15/13 to 7/22/13

Eight arrests, several unwanted guests and intoxicated persons
Falmouth Police Department activity for 8/15 to 8/22, 2013.

During the period of Monday, July 15, 2013 to Monday, July 22, 2013, the officers of the Falmouth Police Department responded to 782 calls for service.

During the week, police officers responded to 57 sounding alarms, investigated several fireworks complaints and pulled over 34 people, 13 of who were issued a citation.

In addition to 8 arrests during the week, 8 other people were taken into protective custody.

There was one medical call, one Section 12 (mental illness), 2 Section 35 calls (alcohol and drugs) and one person passed away (DOA). There was one reported sex offense.

There were 17 disturbances/disorderlies, 5 reports of vandalism, 3 restraining order violations, 7 suspicious persons, 10 suspicious vehicles, 12 erratic drivers reported, 12 intoxicated persons, 4 assault and batteries, four unwanted guest and 15 domestic disturbances.

There were 14 larcenies and four break-ins reported--two to cars, one home and one business. There were also 2 reports of shoplifting and one robbery.

There was one reported trespassing, three threats and one report of harassment.

There were 8 arrests during the week:

  • On Sunday, July 21 at 11:37 p.m., Napoleon McCall, Jr., 56, of 137 Homestead Lane in Teaticket was placed under arrest during a motor vehicle stop on Route 151 and charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
  • On Sunday, July 21 at 12:56 p.m., Sarah L. Walsh, 28, of 24 Gage Dr. Apt. 3L in Dorchester, was placed under arrest during a motor vehicle stop on Sandwich Road on two open warrants.
  • On Sunday, July 21 at 3:14 a.m., Lance A. Berthiaume, 44, of 19 Tiller Drive in Waquoit, was placed under arrested during a reported domestic disturbance and charged with domestic assault and battery.
  • On Friday, July 19 at 8:11 p.m., Joseph R. Burns, 21, homeless/Falmouth, was placed under arrest during a restraining order violation call on Blue Water Lane and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.
  • On Friday, July 19 at 2:22 p.m., James Philip Connors, Sr., 46, of 10 Midway Street in Wareham, was placed under arrest on a warrant service on East Falmouth Highway on two open warrants.
  • On Thursday, July 18 at 8:06 p.m., Tina Marie Melvin, 38, of 516 Main Street Apt. 1 in East Falmouth, was placed under arrest during a domestic disturbance call on Homestead Lane and charged with disorderly conduct. A second person from Falmouth was taken into protective custody at the time and charged with simple assault and battery.
  • On Tuesday, July 16 at 5:28 p.m., Jason Lee Lawson, 29, of 26 Pinecrest Beach Drive in Falmouth, was placed under arrest during a warrant service on Alphonse Street on an open warrant.
  • On Monday, July 15 at 6:15 p.m., Jason Lee Lawson, 29 of 26 Pinecrest Beach Drive in Falmouth, was placed under arrest during a reported shoplifting on Davis Straits and charged with shoplifting by asportation.
