EAST FALMOUTH - An early morning raid on an East Falmouth home Thursday ended in the seizure of drugs, cash, a weapon and four arrests. According to a release from Falmouth police, the raid was executed following a joint investigation by Falmouth, Barnstable and Mashpee detectives.

As the investigation revealed the "likely presence" of weapons and persons with violent offenses on their records, the home at 79 Carriage Shop Road was first entered by members of the Upper Cape Strategic Response Team at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, police said.

Twelve people were in the home at the time of the raid, including a pregnant woman and a child, police said.

During the search, detectives confiscated a 20 gauge shotgun, a ballistic vest, shotgun ammunition, .22 caliber bullets, a digital scale, pepper spray and $1,791 in cash. They also seized 10 grams of heroin, 43 Oxycodone pills (30mg each) and 10 Suboxone sublingual strips.

Carlino will be arraigned in Falmouth District Court.

Three other people were also arrested during the raid--all on outstanding warrants--William Matchem, 25 of Falmouth, Tina Carlino, 43, of Falmouth and Michael Costa, 24, of Falmouth.

There were no reported injuries during the raid, police said. As a precaution, the unidentified pregnant woman was evaluated at the home by Falmouth Fire and Rescue.
