Falmouth Police Blotter: 1/8/15 to 2/4/15

Twenty arrests, 8 overdoses and over 80 motor vehicle accidents--many weather-related
Falmouth police activity for 1/8/15 to 2/4/15.

Over the 4-week period of Thursday, January 8, 2015 to Wednesday, February 4, 2015, the officers of the Falmouth Police Department responded to 1,821 for service. No logs were available from 1/9/15 to 1/12/15.

During the month there were 5 assault and battery/assault calls, 20 disorderly disturbances (one protective custody, 3 arrests), one bomb threat, 2 reports of harassment and 13 reported threats. Officers attempted one harassment order service (in hand), 21 summons services (11 in hand) and 16 warrant services (7 arrests). There were also 3 search warrants executed. 

There was one report of vandalism, one report of trespassing, 11 suspicious persons and 14 suspicious motor vehicles. There were 4 drug law violations and 6 unwanted guests (one arrest). Officers responded to 135 sounding alarms.

There were 10 larcenies, 10 reports of shoplifting (one arrest), 4 residential break-ins (one arrest), two commercial break-ins and one motor vehicle/trailer break-in. There were 4 reports of ID theft/fraud. There was one reported motor vehicle theft and one motor vehicle recovered. There was one plate reported stolen/lost and one report of a prowler. 

Officers assisted citizens on 45 occasions, the town department of natural resources on one occasion, other police departments on 5 occasions (one arrest) and the Falmouth Fire Department on 20 occasions (one arrest, one protective custody). There were two fires.

There were 4 medical emergencies, 6 suicide attempt/threats, 2 unattended deaths and 8 overdoses. Officers conducted 44 welfare checks (one protective custody), 3 Section 35 (alcohol/drugs) and one Section 12 (mental illness). There were 4 missing persons and 8 intoxicated persons (3 protective custody). 

There were 3 illegal dumping complaints, 11 loud noise complaints, 5 animal complaints and 4 reports of gunshots fired. 

Eighty-one motorists were pulled over (18 citations, one arrest). There were 117 additional motor vehicle-related calls including disabled vehicles and traffic control (5 citations). There were 17 parking violation calls (4 tickets). Officers investigated 21 erratic motor vehicle reports. 

There were 20 arrests:

  • On Tuesday, February 3 at 6:45 p.m., Edward C. Grazul, 47, of 25 Redwood Circle in Mashpee, was arrested during an unwanted guest call on Palmer Ave. on an open warrant.
  • On Tuesday, February 3 at 1:36 p.m., Kerri Ann Boyd, 34, of 891 Scenic Highway in Bourne, was arrested following a motor vehicle crash on Spring Bars Road and charged with OUI-liquor (3rd offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle and registration not in possession.
  • On Saturday, January 31 at 9:02 p.m., James M. Mula, 51, of 499 Waquoit Highway, Apt. 22 in Waquoit, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on two open warrants.
  • On Friday, January 30 at 9:52 p.m., three juveniles, 12, 13 and 15, were arrested during a disorderly disturbance call on Gifford Street. All three juveniles were charged with disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property under $250 and disturbing the police.
  • On Friday, January 30 at 12:43 p.m., Peter C. Gonsalves IV, 28, of 510 Plymouth in Middleboro, was arrested during a warrant service on Main Street and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and trespassing. There were also 10 open warrants.
  • On Friday, January 30 at 12:29 p.m., Brian Anthony Ferreira, 47, homeless/Falmouth, was arrested during a residential breaking and entering call on Rose Morin Lane and charged with malicious injuring real or personal property, breaking and entering for misdemeanor and trespassing.
  • On Friday, January 30 at 11:02 a.m., Sara Eleanor Pacheco, 31, of 2481 Meetinghouse Way in West Barnstable, was arrested during a warrant service on Maravista Ave. Ext. on two open warrants.
  • On Friday, January 30 at 9:10 a.m., Shawn M. Oller, 38, of 19 Young Road, Apt. B in Falmouth, was arrested at that address during a warrant service on an open warrant.
  • On Thursday, January 29 at 12:30 p.m., Wilfred J. Dumont, 48, of 402 Teaticket Highway, was arrested during an assist other police department call at that address on an open warrant.
  • On Thursday, January 22 at 1:57 p.m., Brenda A. Vezina, 56, of 27 Buttonwood Lane in Plymouth, was arrested during a shoplifting call on Teaticket Highway and charged with shoplifting $100+ by asportation.
  • On Thursday, January 22 at 12:32 p.m. an arrest was made on Viber Lane during an alcohol/drugs Section 35 call. No other information released. 
  • On Thursday, January 22 at 8:40 a.m., John Dias III, 49, of 856 Teaticket Highway in Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service on East Falmouth Highway on two open warrants.
  • On Wednesday, January 21 at 8:45 p.m., Darryll Gene Baker, 45, of 81 Sam Turner Road in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on an open warrant.
  • On Tuesday, January 20 at 4:50 p.m., Leo Joseph Anzivino, 23, of 26 King Street, Apt. 4 in Falmouth, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Main Street and charged with carrying a non per se weapon (billy club) dangerous weapon and an open warrant.
  • On Thursday, January 15 at 7:10 p.m., Robert Mitchell Estrela, 23, homeless/Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service on Ellsworth Drive on an open warrant.
  • On Wednesday, January 14 at 10:14 p.m., Debra L. Tobin, 57, of 2239 Iyannough Road, Apt. B4 in West Barnstable, was arrested during an assist fire department call on Davisville Road on an open warrant.
  • On Tuesday, January 13 at 8:13 p.m., Susan Cecellia Haas, 56, of 598 Boxberry Hill Road in E. Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on an open warrant.
  • On Thursday, January 8 at 9:58 p.m., Thomas Cooper McNulty, 22, of 41 Lady Slipper Lane in South Chatham, was arrested during an area check on Ter Heun Drive and charged with disorderly conduct.
