Police Warn of a New Wave of "Eversource Scams"

Calls reported today by Orleans, Harwich Police...

Orleans and Harwich Police are reporting a new wave of "Eversource Scam" calls to residents in their towns.  These scam calls typically demand payment of a bill "immediately" via some kind of prepaid gift card.

Eversource will never solicit payment in this manner or by a prepaid gift card.

If you receive a call from someone purporting to be from Eversource, please contact your local police department.   Do not give the caller any personal information.
