NWS: Excessive Heat Warning in Effect

An Excessive Heat Warning continues for much of Southern New England. A Heat Advisory is in effect for Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and the Berkshires. There are no heat headlines for Nantucket and Block Island.

Below are the forecast high temperatures for today, the forecast heat index values for today, and the forecast low temperatures for tonight.

Note that the forecast low temperatures for tonight could pass as average daytime highs in some parts of Southern New England.

Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph.
Sunday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday Night
Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9pm. Patchy fog before 1am, then patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
