Local Sea Cadet Corps is Ready for New Members

Program for young men and women ages 11 to 13...

Gosnold Division and Training Ship Patriot State of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is welcoming new applicants to the training program located at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.  Young men and women between the ages of 11 and 13 who may be interested in nautical or military opportunities are encouraged to join.

Events scheduled throughout the year for this U. S. Naval Sea Cadets Corp group include: an annual swim meet, parades and ceremonies, awards presentations, marksmanship training, and a great skills competition weekend held at Joint Base Cape Cod, plus other activities of interest to Sea Cadet Corps members.

The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a non-profit youth program, federally chartered by Congress in 1962 and is supported by the Navy and Coast Guard. Gosnold Division has operated on Cape Cod since 1975. Training is conducted on alternating Saturdays, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Harrington Building at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay.
