Kennedy-Donovan Center Taking Over Early Intervention from CCCD

Agency operates four other EI programs, promises seamless transition...

Cape Cod Child Development's Early Intervention program will be taken over by the Kennedy-Donovan Center in West Yarmouth as of September 1st.

Earlier this week CCCD had announced that they were ceasing operation of all programs as of today.  Thursday, the South Shore Community Action Council announced they would take over all of Cape Cod Child Development's pre-school centers on Cape Cod.

Early Intervention serves babies and toddlers with special needs, providing aggressive case management and intervention services for those children and their families.  By and large, much of the EI program was pioneered by staff at Cape Cod Child Development during the agency's more successful days.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health granted quick approval for EI to move to the Kennedy-Donovan Center, which already operates four other EI programs in Massachusetts.  KDC management promises a seamless transition for clients, with all appointments being kept and familiar staff from CCCD continuing to work with their clients.

Those with questions about the transition or in need of EI services may visit the KDC website or stop by their office at 30 Ansel Hallet Road.
