Orleans Police - Significant Road Work Slated for Route 28 and Main Street

September 23rd and 24th...

From the Orleans Police Department:

On Monday, September 23rd and Tuesday, September 24th, significant road work will begin again at the intersections of Rt 28 and Main in Orleans. As a result, detours will be in place on these two days. Since the work being done is in such close proximity to Nauset Regional Middle School, the Orleans Police Department is requesting that any parent traveling to or from the school for any reason (pick-up/drop-off/meetings), do so from Eldredge Parkway and avoid the Main St area. The school will still be accessible from both Eldredge Park Wy. and the Rt 28 entrances. Road work is scheduled to begin at 6:00am and end around 5:00pm, possibly later. Busses will not be affected by the detour as they will be allowed through. No other traffic will be permitted during these two days. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and appreciate your patience. Thank you!
