Cancer Support Group -

“Meeting the Holiday Season with Mindfulness”

From Helping Our Women:

The Cancer Support Group  — that meets monthly at the Eastham Senior Center on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 5:30 pm, will focus on “Meeting the Holiday Season with Mindfulness”.  If your holiday feels more frightful than delightful, you’re not alone. A 2015 survey found almost two-thirds of people report increased stress during the holidays.

This support groups is a meeting for people diagnosed with cancer or people caring for someone with cancer.  Even though many people receive support from friends and family, the number one reason people join a support group is to be with others who have similar cancer experiences.

The Cancer Support Group is facilitated by Deborah Ennis, LMHC, with support from Helping Our Women (HOW).  For over 25 years, HOW has built a strong system of supportive services to meet the needs and empower women with chronic, life threatening or disabling medical conditions living in Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet and Eastham.  For more information about The Cancer Support Group or to register, call 508-255-6165.  To learn more about HOW visit www.helpingourwomen.org.
