Willow Street Tavern's Mac & Cheese is a "Must Try"

A warm winter treat from award-winning tavern...
The Mac & Cheese at the Willow Street Tavern is the perfect remedy to a cold, windy day. (CCToday photo)

Willow Street Tavern in Hyannis put itself on the map last summer when Chef Paul Bevacqua's clam chowder won first place in the 29th annual Cape Cod Chowderfest.

For an encore, Chef Paul outdoes himself again with his signature Mac & Cheese entree.  He tosses Cavatappi Pasta in his own rich cheese sauce and tops it with a Parmesan crumb crust.

The result is a rich, warm bowl of goodness.

Willow Street Tavern offers Mac & Cheese as a generously-portioned entree, either plain or with add-ins such as Buffalo or Garlic Parm. chicken tenders.  Daily specials often include a different configuration of Mac & Cheese with bacon, linguisa and other meat.

Our favorite meal on a cold day is a cup of Willow Street's award-winning chowder, Mac & Cheese entree and hot coffee.  Spirited coffee is also available.

Chef Paul's Mac & Cheese is another reason why the Willow Street tavern is making a name for itself as a family tavern with excellent food served by a warm, friendly staff.  Willow Street is a casual local gathering spot offering roast beef, paninies, flatbreads, burgers and Chef Paul's award-winning clam chowder.  They offer a full bar, Keno plus lunch and dinner specials.
