- Divers were called to search Fawcetts Pond off West Main Street in Hyannis late this evening. Re
ports from the scene are sometime after 11 PM a body was recovered. The victim was identified as 38-year old Andrew Rusnak who gave an address of 77 Winter Street in Hyannis, the Noah Shelter for the homeless. Passenger Medflighted after crash
BOURNE
- A Sagamore man was arrested for operating under the influence and other motor vehicle charges and his sister Medflighted after their pickup truck struck a tree around 5 PM Saturday in front of 58 Maple Street in Buzzards Bay. 24-year old Jeremy Anderson was charged in the crash while his sister 19-year old Nicole Anderson was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham and later flown to a Boston Hospital. Two injured in Brewster crash
BREWSTER - Two people were injured and Route 6A in Brewster was closed following a car vs utility pole this afternoon. The crash shortly after 4 PM happened in front of the Candleberry Inn. The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Posted on 8/04 at 4:30 PM.

Officer assaulted during domestic dispute
DENNIS - A Dennis Police officer was assaulted trying to break up a domestic dispute Thursday evening. Officers Christine Hornby and Henry Jessop responded to the Exit 9 off ramp from Route 6 to Route 134 where a vehicle had stopped blocking traffic and a man and woman were arguing. The male fled on foot but the officers quickly caught up. He then began to struggle with the officers and officer Hornby was kicked in the leg. She was not seriously injured. The suspect 39-year old Christopher Orcutt of Halifax, MA was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a police officer, assault and battery (on the female) and resisting arrest. Power problems persist after heat, storms
CAPE COD - NStar remains busy repairing power outages following the heat wave and thunderstorms. High tension wires caught fire sparking a brush fire on North Dennis Road in Yarmouth. Another problem with was reported on Orleans Road in Eastham. Some residents in the New Seabury section of Mashpee were in the dark for over 24 hours. Posted on 8/04 at 4:30 PM.

Two injured in parking lot crash
DENNIS - Police believe a medical condition caused a crash in the Ring Brothers Market parking lot in Dennis just after noon. A Lincoln Aviator crashed into a Chevy Van about 12:45 PM. The driver of the Lincoln 62-year old Phyllis Bower of Manchester, NH and the van driver 40-year old Michael Dumas of North Attleboro were both taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Officials believe Bower had some kind of medical condition that led to the crash. Posted on 8/04 at 4:30 PM.
