Man found shot in Falmouth
FALMOUTH - A man was found lying in the street shot multiple times early Saturday morning in Falmouth. The victim reported to be a 22-year old man was found shortly after 5 AM here on on Homestead Lane in East Falmouth a densely populated shortcut between Brick Kiln Road and Teaticket Highway (Route 28). The victim was rushed to Falmouth Hospital in critical condition and then Medflighted to a Boston hospital. Falmouth Police are investigating the incident and trying to determine who the shooter or shooters was and what the motive may have been. Driver escapes serious injury in Wellfleet rollover
WELLFLEET - A driver escaped serious injury after their car hit a guardrail and rolled on its roof in Wellfleet Friday. The crash happened in front of the Wellfleet Post Office slowing traffic on the highway for a time. Wellfleet Police are investigating. Posted on 11/10 at 4:30 PM.
Elderly couple injured in Bourne crash
BOURNE - Police are trying to determine if a medical condition caused an elderly couple's car to go off Sandwich Road and strike a tree Thursday. The man driving and his wife were both taken to Falmouth Hospital with serious injuries. Further details were not immediately available. Posted on 11/10 at 4:30 PM.
Trial update: Jury adjourns for weekend, witness arrested
BARNSTABLE - The jury in the Worthington murder trial has adjourned for the weekend with no verdict after four days of deliberations. The jury appeared briefly in court to get some clarification from the judge on "reasonable doubt". Meanwhile in a related story a witness in the trial was arrested on unrelated charges Thursday in Wellfleet. 42-year old Keith Amato was stopped for having a failed inspection sticker and subsquently arrested for operating without a license. He was booked and released on his own recognizance at the Wellfleet station. Amato claims police are harrassing him for his testimony about the State Police at the trial but the Times reports arresting Officer Michael Turner had no idea who Amato was.
