Truck crash closes Station Avenue in Yarmouth
YARMOUTH - A truck crashed into a tree on Station Avenue this afternoon. The tree was uprooted and snagged some wires causing authorities to close part of the road during the afternoon commute. The driver was not injured. Yarmouth Police are investigating. Posted on 11/27 at 4;45 PM.

Shots fired in attempted robbery in Dennis
DENNIS
- A scary scene late Sunday night after whats being described as an attempted armed robbery ends with 3 gun shots fired. Dennis Police say about 11:30 PM a lone male attempted to rob two people sitting in a vehicle at Hawthorne and Old Bass River Roads in South Dennis. No one was hit by the gunfire. The suspect fled in a small pickup truck and is described as a dark skinned black male, approximately 5'6" in height and a thin build.  At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a black puffy jacket with a hood, black pants, black sneakers and was wearing a black ski mask.  The suspect also spoke with a southern accent. Dennis Police do not believe this was a random act. They ask anyone with information to contact them at (508) 394-1315. Posted on 11/27 at 3:45 PM; updated on 11/27 at 4:45 PM.
