Three arrested, fourth sought after Hyannis stabbing
One of the suspects in a stabbing in Hyannis is taken down by Barnstable Police.
HYANNIS - Barnstable Police have arrested three suspects and are seeking a fourth after a broad daylight fight that left one person stabbed and kicked several times and a second person injured as well in Hyannis.
It happened shortly before 3 PM in the cemetery on Barnstable Road across from the Land Rover dealer.
Barnstable Police Sgt. Sean Sweeney identified the three arrested as brothers 56-year old Arcenio Lopes and 49-year old Russell Lopes both of Falmouth and a man believed to be their cousin 46-year old Mark Andrade.
They were charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. A fourth person is also being sought.
Police believe the argument was over a woman.
The alleged stabbing victim was taken to Cape Cod Hospital in unknown condition. A second person suffered minor injuries at the scene.

Two injured in rear end collision
The scene of a collision at Route 28 and Ridgewood Avenue Monday afternoon.
HYANNIS - Two people were injured in a rear-end collision in Hyannis Monday afternoon. About 2 PM, a wrecker towing a car struck a Ford Taurus on Route 28 at Ridgewood Avenue.
Another vehicle struck the vehicle being towed on the back of the wrecker.
Barnstable Police are investigating the crash which tied up already heavy traffic until the wreckage was cleared.

Power knocked out in Ptown
PROVINCETOWN - All of Provincetown lost power about 2 PM. The outage came as the Centennial Celebration of the Pilgrim Monument was underway. Traffic jammed at Route 6 and Conwell Street as the signal lights went out. Power was restored a little over a half hour later. NStar has been making major improvements to the Outer Cape power grid. Another outage occurred about 4 AM a few mornings ago. NStar says today's outage was caused by a blown fuse and equipment failure. Editors note: The power failure disrupted service on our live fire scanner. Sorry for the delay but service has now been restored-TC.
Man killed in Nantucket moped crash; driver charged
NANTUCKET - Nantucket Police are investigating a fatal vehicle car vs moped crash on the island. The Mirror & Inquirer reports the crash happened around 12:30 AM, Sunday at the intersection of Surfside and Bartlett Roads. The moped operator, 28-year old Rodrigo A. Just, a Brazilian citizen, was rushed to Nantucket Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police say the moped was struck by a Jeep driven by 24-year old Genevieve Ryan of Nantucket. She is charged with operating negligently resulting in death and failing to yield at an intersection.
