Arrest, injuries result from bar fight

    
Several cruisers responded to the British Beer Company in Hyannis for a report of a large fight.
HYANNIS - Several Barnstable Police units were called to the British Beer Company on Main Street in Hyannis around 11:30 p.m. for reports of a fight involving several people. One person was reportedly arrested. EMTs were called to evaluate three people, one of whom was apparently struck with a bottle. Two were taken to CCH. The disturbance came shortly after a New York Yankee's loss clinched the A.L. East for the Red Sox but it's not confirmed if the resulting revelry may have played a role. Barnstable Police charged 29-year old Donal McNulty of Quincy with assault and battery and malicious destruction of property. We'll bring you further details as we get them from Barnstable Police. SWAT team moves in on Fresh Holes Road as series of raids continue

HYANNIS
- A SWAT team descended on a house at 50 Fresh Holes Road late Friday afternoon. Two people were arrested reportedly on outstanding warrants. It was the continuation of a now three-day push by local and state police in Yarmouth and Hyannis.

13 people were arrested on Wednesday and Thursday.

Barnstable Police have been maintaining a high profile presence in the troubled Fresh Holes, Hiramar Road neighborhood since gunshots hit a house on Hiramar Road a week ago. One of today's arrests is seen being led to a cruiser at right. The identities of today's two arrests were not immediately available.

Arrested on outstanding warrants over the last two days were 46-year-old Eric S. Engelsen, of Hyannis for larceny, 36-year-old Christopher Donalson of Hyannis for violation of restraining order, 26-year-old Samara Bonnett of Hyannis for possession of narcotics, 25-year-old Ryan P. Thibeau of Hyannis for possession of marijuana, 20-year-old Jenni Kahan of Hyannis for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, 53-year-old Richard Conway of Hyannis for operating under the influence of alcohol and breaking and entering in the nighttime, 38-year-old Kenneth Debbarros of Hyannis on a probation violation for possession of a firearm, 23-year-old Ieashamae Garate of Hyannis on a probation violation for assault and battery, 57-year-old Christopher W. Nichols of Barnstable for larceny by check, 23-year-old Michael Johnson of Hyannis for assault and battery, a 16-year-old juvenile from Centerville for armed assault with intent to murder, 32-year-old Brandy Santos of Hyannis for larceny by check and 23-year-old Albert Randall of Hyannis for assault and battery and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Four arrested in Hyannis drug raid
HYANNIS
- Four people were arrested after police executed a search warrant at a Yarmouth Road address. Barnstable Police allege 48-year old Jimmy Lee Taylor of Hyannis was making "crack" when they entered the residence. Taylor, 27-year old DeQuincy Drummer of Nantucket and a 16-year old juvenile were charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of marijuana. 54-year old Alzadia Johnson of Missouri was charged with possession of marijuana. 

Three injured, two seriously in Hyannis crash

    
Two people were seriously injured in a crash in front of the Hyannis fire station.
HYANNIS - Three people were injured in a crash in front of the Hyannis fire station on High School Road Extension at Stevens Street about 2 p.m. Friday. A Chrysler PT Cruiser collided with a Ford Focus sedan. Two of the victims, described as elderly, suffered serious injuries.

Ambulances from Barnstable and Centerville helped transport the victims. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable police. Traffic was heavily jammed in the area.

West Barnstable crash injures one, snarls Route 132 traffic

BARNSTABLE - A two-vehicle crash on Route 132 by the Burger King about 2:20 p.m. caused no serious injuries but created major delays along Route 132. The offramp from Route 6 is guarded by a signal light but has been the scene of numerous crashes. Barnstable Police are investigating.

Harrington acquitted on murder charges
BOURNE
- A jury has acquitted Jeffrey Harrington on murder charges in the death of Gerald Carbone in 2004. Back on September 18th of that year prosecutors had alleged Harrington shot Carbone outside the  Port-O-Call bar in Buzzards Bay. Carbone passed away a week later. The defense had maintained Carbone was threatening Harrington and Harrington was trying to defend a woman Carbone had allegedly been bothering earlier.
