Harwich box truck fire

   Not much more than a charred frame remains after a truck fire in Harwich Tuesday.

HARWICH - Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. the Harwich Fire Department was called to a fire and explosion involving a contractor's box truck next to 12 Burton Avenue. 

When firefighters arrived on scene, the truck was fully engulfed in flames.  Firefighters were able to quickly knock the fire down. 

There were no reported injuries.

Buzzards Bay tractor trailer vs pole


BUZZARDS BAY - Bourne police were at the scene of a tractor trailer crash on Main Street in Buzzards Bay Tuesday morning around 11 a.m.

The tractor trailer apparently struck and damaged the electric utility pole. Bourne police called for an NSTAR crew to repair the damage to the pole before the tractor trailer is removed.

Sections of Main Street were reportedly without power due to the accident.  There were no reported injuries.
