Plymouth plane crash, student, instructor injured

PLYMOUTH - Police and firefighters at the scene of a plane crash at Plymouth Airport Saturday afternoon (06-20-09). Two people were injured in the crash, including a student pilot and an instructor.

The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Plymouth Fire Department officials say the pilot and student were practicing take-offs and landings when their single-engine Piper Warrior had engine trouble. The plane landed hard, breaking the front landing gear, and flipped over.
