Town of Falmouth issues snow removal and parking ban for this week

Vehicles parked in designated areas may be towed

From 10pm tonight (Tuesday, December 22, 2009) until 6am tomorrow morning, Main Street will be closed from the Village Green to Gifford Street to allow DPW crews to remove snow from the road, parking lots and sidewalks.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, December 23, 2009) from 10pm until 6am on Thursday, Water Street in Woods Hole will be closed from Railroad Avenue to Albatross Street for snow removal.

Any vehicles parked on those roadways or parking lots, at those times, risk being towed.

Message boards have been placed for motorists to see as they enter the center of town from either Palmer Ave. at Queen's Buyway or from Woods Hole Road. There will also be police details with cruisers available to advise motorists.

Falmouth Town Manager, Robert L. Whritenour Jr., urges any resident needing DPW assistance to call them at 508-457-2543.
