Lock Down Drill at Plymouth North High School

It was only a half hour drill, but, oh boy! What a thrill

The students at Plymouth North High School got an unschedule break today as Plymouth Police, in conjunction with four other public safety agencies, conducted a lock down drill at the school on Obery St. in Plymouth Thursday (05-13-10) morning around 9:45 AM. 

During the simulated drill, 7 Plymouth Police cruisers responded to the high school along with police cruisers from Bourne, Kingston, Massachusetts State Police and the Plymouth County Sheriff’s departments. 

Two State Police helicopters also responded to the scene with one of the helicopter units streaming live video to ground units below.  The drill, which simulated an armed male entering the high school, lasted for approximately one half hour.  (Photos by David G. Curran)
