Single-car crash sends one woman to the hospital in Hyannis

HYANNIS - Around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday morning, September 29, 2010, a woman was injured when she drove her white sedan into a tree in front of the Sports Port on West Main Street.

The car crashed through a wooden boat display in the front of the store before hitting the tree.

The driver, the sole occupant of the car, was treated by Hyannis firefighters at the scene then transported to Cape Cod Hospital. The nature of her injuries is unknown.

Barnstable Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
